Who are we?

The Marshall County Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of the history of Marshall County, West Virginia as well as educating other on our county’s rich history.

We strive to be the preeminent community steward and central educational location showcasing our county’s historical legacy.

By collecting, preserving, and promoting artifacts that reflect that legacy, we are able to ensure that the many generations that come after us will be able to be educated about the place they call home.

Our Museums

The M.C.H.S. operates two museums, the Marshall County History Museum and the Cockayne Farmstead.
